Mary B. (Redzensky) Eckberg Frank
Mrs. Mary B.(Redzensky) Eckberg Frank, 91, of Houtzdale, passed away at 11:50 AM, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Clearfield Hospital, Clearfield, PA.
She was born in Ramey on Sept. 8, 1918 a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Matchock) Redzensky.
She was a parishioner of Christ The King Church, Houtzdale. She was a homemaker and worked as a Social Worker for Houtzdale Community Action in the senior citizens program for 20 years. Mrs. Frank retired 1988.
On June 25, 1944 in the former St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Houtzdale she married Edward W. Eckberg, he died on Feb. 20, 1970. On Aug. 12, 1989 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills, she married John Frank who preceded her in death on July 8, 2006.
Mrs. Frank is survived by four children; Edwin R. Eckberg of Tyrone, Thomas W. "Java" and his wife Deborah of Houtzdale, Carl A. Eckberg and his wife Kathy of Penfield, and Rosemary McMasters of Patton. Three step children also survive, John Frank of Philipsburg, Joseph Frank and his wife Donna of Osceola Mills and Kathy Richmond and her husband William of Philipsburg.
Six grandchildren survive, Bradley Eckberg, Scott Eckberg, Tina Eckberg, Kimberlee Nuszkowski, Deanna Lobb and Wesley McMasters. Four great grand children and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Frank is survived by a sister, Josephine "Jessie" Wetherson of Ramey.
Along with her parents and husbands, Mrs. Frank is preceded in death by the following siblings; infant Helen Redzensky, Frances Redzensky, John Redzensky, Joe Redzensky, Tom Redzensky, Frank Redzensky, Stanley Redzensky, Martha Huber and Anne Galvin. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sonja.
Friends will be received on Monday, Sept. 21, from 6-9 PM and on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 8:30 - 9:30 AM.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 10:00 AM with Very Rev. Fr. Gregory A. Kirsch as celebrant. Interment follow in the Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
