Patricia L. (Kuhn) Bartek

Mrs. Patricia L. (Kuhn) Bartek, 76, of Altoona and formerly of Smoke Run, passed away at 7:25 AM, Monday, February 1, 2010 at Altoona Hospital, Altoona , PA.

She was born April 23, 1933 in Smoke Run the daughter of the late Earl "Buster" and Mildred (Pearson) Kuhn.

Pat was a 1951 graduate of the former Beccaria Township High School.

On Sept. 1, 1956, in the Smoke Run United Methodist Church, she married Morton Bartek who survives of Altoona.

Pat was a life time member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Juniata and was a homemaker. She also was a senior volunteer at the Altoona Hospital.

She is survived by three children; David M. Bartek and his wife Norene of Altoona, Timothy A. Bartek and his wife Dotty of New Germany and Cheryl A. Lauer and her husband Mark of Glen Allen, VA.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Michael Bartek, Kaitlyn Bartek, Kelsey Bartek, Eric Lauer, Ashley Lauer and Melissa Lauer; and 3 great grandchildren.

Anyone who knew Pat could attest to the beautiful singing voice she was gifted with. She soloed for many weddings and was a long time veteran of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church Choir.

She also loved her many pets, especially her Siberian Husky, Laddy and her Pomeranian, Tiggy.

Friends will be received on Friday, Feb. 5, from 10 Am -12 Noon at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, at 12 Noon in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Ramey with Rev. Thomas A. McCoy officiating.

Interment will be in the Hegarty's Crossroad Cemetery, Beccaria Twp.
