Mildred J. (Switala) Murawski

Mrs. Mildred J. (Switala) Murawski, 81, Morann, passed away at 12:35 PM, Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.

Born in Whiteside, RD Houtzdale on Feb. 14, 1929 a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Giza) Switala.

Mildred was a parishioner of Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale and worked for 36 years as a clerk in the former Houtzdale Five & Ten Store.

On Oct. 24, 1970 in the former St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Houtzdale she married Lester G. Murawski who preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1995.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Switala Schram of Sandy Ridge and five nephews and a niece, Anthony T. Miller and his wife Susan of Morann, Gary M. Miller and his wife Mary Jean of Houtzdale, Mark Switala and his wife Wendy , Mariann Switala, Steven Switala, Raymond Switala and his wife Debbie all of Michigan. Great nieces and nephews, Tony Miller and his wife Michele, Chris Miller and his fiancée Lindsey, Megan Miller and Jenna Miller., also survive.

Along with her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Miller on Dec. 25, 1991 and a brother, Raymond Switala.

Friends will be received on Fri., April 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Sat., April 17 from 8:30 - 9:15 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. The Christ The King Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:30 PM Friday in the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, on Saturday, April 17, at 10:00 AM with Very Rev. Fr. Gregory A. Kirsch celebrant.
