Catherine V. (Kokosko) Kushner

Mrs. Catherine V. (Kokosko) Kushner, 93, of Fernwood, RD Smithmill, passed away at 12:40 PM, Monday, May 10, 2010 at T.L.C. Manor Personal Care Home, Brisbin, PA.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1916 at Ginter, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Miklos) Kokosko.

Mrs. Kushner was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey and was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Donald P. Kushner and his wife Mary of Clearfield; 3 grandchildren, Timothy L. Kushner and his wife Nicole, Joseph A. Kushner and his fiancee, Angie Peters, and Kathleen M. Kushner. Seven great grandchildren also survive; Matthew L. Kushner, Kyle D. Kushner, Jaelen M. Kushner, Nicholas L. Blake, Jace C. Peters, Kamden A. Kushner and Dalayni J. Kushner.

Mrs. Kushner is survived by a sister and brother; Ann Nemish of Rio Rancho, NM and Albert Kokosko and his wife Elizabeth of Ramey. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Kushner was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael M. Kushner on Feb. 13, 1984; two sons, Michael M. Kushner on May 5, 1946 and Andrew A. Kushner on Jan. 21, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a sister and three brothers, Mildred M. Kokosko, John Kokosko, Paul Kokosko and Edward Kokosko.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Fri., May 14 from 9-10:30 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Fri., May 14 at 11:00 AM in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as the celebrant.
